The holidays don’t have to be complicated… as far as the food goes anyway! Long lists of ingredients and complicated recipes are great if you have the time, but when you’re rushing to get things ready for guests. Just set out a few simple nibbles, a selection of Gooseneck Vineyards wines and enjoy the perfect holiday evening.
Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus
Half each prosciutto slice and wrap around each asparagus spear at an angle, covering the entire length of the spear. Sauté in a large skillet with a dash of olive oil for 2-3 minutes (until crisp) and serve.Bacon Wrapped Scallops
Preheat oven to 425. Cut bacon strips in half. Wrap each rinsed scallop with ½ strip of bacon. Skewer each bacon-wrapped scallops per skewer. Sprinkle with smoked paprika, seasoning both sides. Bake for about 20 minutes, then flip and bake for an additional 15 minutes.Baked Brie Bites
Fill Athens Mini Fillo Shells with a bit of brie (half a teaspoon or so). Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 5 minutes. Remove from oven and top with a dollop of cranberry sauce and sprinkle with crushed pistachios.Fig Brie Bites
