What says “Perfect Fall Day” more than a visit to a pumpkin patch, complete with hayride and maybe even some apple cider? Rhode Island has a ton of local pumpkin patches that offer all that and more!
Confreda Greenhouses & Farms has a Fall Fest that offers tractor-pulled “hay rides” (with no actual hay in order to accommodate those with allergies), a fun park with amusements for the kids, pick-your-own pumpkin, wooden cut-outs & displays for picture taking, fresh apples, cider and produce at the fruit stand market, and fresh-made apple cider donuts! $8/person and adults are free with kid ticket.
Four Town Farm also features pick your own pumpkins. A tractor will take you out to the field, drop you off at the start of a small corn maze, and pick you up after you have selected a pumpkin. Their farm stand is packed with fresh produce, baked goods and local flavors! Pick your own flowers – priced by the pound – are fun as well.
Schartner Farms offers the Pumpkin Express on weekends from 11-4. For $8/person, get a hayride, corn maze, photo ops, kiddie maze, & games. Pumpkins, apples, and water are available to purchase in the field. After your ride back from the field, be sure to enjoy some of their famous curly fries!
Cucumber Hill Farm has pick-your-own pumpkins, corn maze, a flashlight maze on Saturday nights, lantern-lit hay rides, and pony rides.
